Thank you Lindsay at Looking for Strawberries! She was kind enough to think of me and my new, little blog :)
Part of this award is to share 7 things about myself. Here I go!
1. I've lived in 8 different states.
2. I'm a nationally certified Interpreter for the Deaf and Deaf/Blind.
3. My BA is in Interpreting and my Masters is in Secondary Education.
4. I have 3 sons, 2 stepsons and 2 stepdaughters.
5. My husband is a bicycle mechanic and a college student (and a wonderful dad, I might add).
6. I love singing, photography and all kinds of art. (I sing in the choir at church and also on the worship team a few times a year)
7. I am content being in a blended family...although it has it's challenges, I can truthfully say that God has blessed us more than I could ever imagine!
Now, I need to pass this award on to 15 bloggers that I have recently discovered. Um...the thing is, I only have found about 5! It's not that I don't want to find more, it's just that it takes time...and I either don't have much time to search or I get distracted!
I'll try!
1. Amy Horne Photography
2. Pixel Perfect
3. The Paper Mama
4. Sailor & Company
5. Life With All These Crazy People, Me Included!
6. Sound Mind, Sound Body
7. Brightsides
8. The Redhead Riter
So...these are the only blogs I visit! So far :) I also like to read Mckmama, Bring the Rain & Kellys Korner. I'm pretty sure they have all gotten this award plus many more.
Give them ALL a visit! You know, when you have time :)
Blessings!
~Bethany

Thanks for the comment!
Those sand photos were actually taken........
in my driveway.
My neighbors put in a pool, and the leftover sand became a giant sandbox until I got picked up..lol
We're actually landlocked where I am!
As for the close up shots and stuff.... I don't know. I've always just been able to look at life happening around me, and pick up on little nuances that I find interesting. I guess it's the artist in me! It boggles my husband's mind. (He's a machinist....very different kind of art!)
So, did you get Photoshop Elements? Photoshop is awesome! I have an older copy of the full version... Photoshop 7. It takes a while to get to know it though. If I can help at all, let me know!
I also use Lightroom a lot. I love lightroom! It's not nearly as versatile as Photoshop, but it's fast. But whatever you do, don't do the 30 day warranty unless you have the money to buy it! lol
I have Photoshop CS5 and I haven't the faintest idea how to use it! Can you come visit?? lol
We have Lightroom 3 too...my husband got it with his student discount :) I use that ALL the time--love it!
Talk to you soon!
Lol.... Id love to, but I think you may be a few states away ;)
I was given someone's student copy of Photoshop CS4, because they had no idea how to use it and didn't want it anymore.
Thing is, I'm not comfortable using it for anything I edit "professionally", as I didn't go out and purchase it myself....and honestly, I don't see a huge difference between the versions. Some tweaking, a few things added, yes.....but no major overrides that I see. So, I mostly use my Photoshop 7, as I went out and bought that one a long time ago, and my Lightroom 2. I love making presets for Lightroom.... really have had a blast learning all it's ins and outs!
Photoshop I've been playing with for years, but I've never actually had anyone teach me. I learned some online..... I learned a LOT by trial and error. If i can answer ant questions, ill help in anyway i can! I'm still a novice myself, but ill pass on the little i know!
